Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee all aspects of the payroll function including payroll processing, payroll taxes, employee benefits, and regulatory compliance.
2. Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
3. Manage the payroll system and ensure its optimal operation, including system updates and upgrades.
4. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
5. Coordinate with HR and Accounting departments to ensure correct payroll data.
6. Prepare and present reports on payroll operations to senior management.
7. Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve any payroll discrepancies.
8. Continuously improve the payroll process and work with the team to streamline tasks.
9. Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in payroll management.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll management
3. Strong knowledge of payroll processing systems and payroll management software.
4. In-depth understanding of the entire payroll process.
5. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
