Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in personal injury cases related to the medical industry
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Attend depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
- Prepare clients for depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
- Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel
- Attend court hearings and argue motions
- Manage a caseload of personal injury cases
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance adjusters
- Participate in firm marketing and business development activities
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in the state of practice (in good standing)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in personal injury litigation
- Experience with plaintiff work
- Experience with mass torts, depositions, trial, arbitration, mediation prep, drafting legal documents, and court appearances
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
