Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Plant Controller to join our dynamic manufacturing team. As the Plant Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, driving business analysis, forecasting, cost accounting, material management, strategic planning, and implementing Lean Six Sigma principles. You will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our plant operations by providing financial guidance and support to the management team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, cost accounting, and ERP systems, with experience in food manufacturing preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial operations for the plant, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting.
- Provide financial guidance and support to the plant management team, including analysis of financial data and recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve plant operations, including cost reduction initiatives and process improvements.
- Manage material management and inventory control, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of all inventory levels.
- Implement Lean Six Sigma principles to optimize plant performance and reduce waste.
- Ensure compliance with all accounting and financial reporting requirements, including GAAP and SOX.
- Work closely with the corporate finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
- 7 years of experience in financial reporting, cost accounting, and ERP systems.
- Experience in food manufacturing preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong project management skills.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles and tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
