Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Plant Controller to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. As a Plant Controller, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. You will play a pivotal role in providing financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision making, and drive business growth and profitability.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning and structure.
2. Coordinate, analyze and report the financial performance to Management and Board of Directors (financial performance, projections and other special projects as required).
3. Prepare short and long-term financial forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties.
4. Oversee audit and tax functions, coordinate activities with outside audit firms and review firms performance.
5. Develop, implement and maintain accounting and administrative policies and procedures for a wide-ranging set of activities including financial accounting and reporting, employee relations (hiring/terminating policies) and other corporate policies.
6. Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent GAAP, SEC rules and regulations including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
7. Responsible for all corporate and human resource activities including employee benefits, retirement plans, corporate insurance and related activities. This includes the coordination of these activities with all satellite offices as well.
8. You must have strong experience with project management, financial analysis and accounting in the manufacturing industry.
9. Lead and coordinate an integrated financial planning process which includes inputs from multiple business units, including forecasting, budgeting, long range planning and portfolio management.
10. Develop and utilize forward-looking, predictive models and activity-based financial analyses to provide insight into the organization’s operations and business plans.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA highly preferred.
2. Professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, or other), preferred.
3. Minimum of three years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, with experience in a manufacturing environment.
4. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
6. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
7. Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis.
8. Experience with Six Sigma and Lean Accounting principles.
9. Proficient in using SAP and other accounting business systems.
10. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations essential.
11. Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
12. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
