We are seeking a well-rounded and experienced Permanent Plant Operator for a challenging and rewarding role in the Energy industry
This role offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, working on cutting-edge technology in the heart of the energy sector
The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of power plants, ensuring optimal performance and safety at all times
The Plant Operator will be involved in a variety of tasks, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems
They will also be responsible for the operation and maintenance of gas and diesel reciprocating engines, as well as power plant generation systems.
Responsibilities :
- Operating and maintaining power plant equipment and systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety at all times.
- Performing preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems, diagnosing and repairing faults as necessary.
- Operating and maintaining gas and diesel reciprocating engines, ensuring their efficient and safe operation.
- Monitoring and adjusting power plant generation systems to meet demand and maintain grid stability.
- Complying with all safety regulations and procedures, and taking proactive measures to prevent accidents and incidents.
- Collaborating with the engineering team to implement improvements and modifications to plant systems and processes.
- Participating in training and development activities to stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role in the energy industry.
- Proven experience as a Power Plant Technician or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of power plant generation systems and power station engineering.
- Solid experience in the maintenance of gas and diesel reciprocating engines.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, with a focus on preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair faults in complex systems.
- Strong commitment to safety, with a track record of complying with regulations and procedures.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development activities.
- Relevant technical qualifications would be highly regarded.
