Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Pre-Construction Manager to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Boilermaker, Millwright, Estimator, and Sales, with a minimum of 3 years of experience. As a Pre-Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning and design of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the pre-construction process, including design, budgeting, and scheduling
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
- Review project plans and specifications to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
- Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
- Coordinate with project managers and superintendents to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
- Develop and implement project schedules, ensuring that all deadlines are met
- Ensure that all necessary permits and approvals are obtained before construction begins
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure that work is progressing according to plan
- Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them
- Manage and mentor a team of construction professionals, including estimators, project managers, and superintendents
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Boilermaker, Millwright, Estimator, and Sales
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and responsibility
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
- Willingness to travel to construction sites as needed
