Job Details
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and communicate the unique aesthetic vision for each game through various means, including illustrations and documents
Direct concept artists in creating key art and model sheets for environments, props, characters, creatures, and UI
Supervise, review, and manage the development of assets across multiple art teams to ensure high visual standards, within schedule and budget constraints
Work closely with producers and other art leads to achieve project goals
Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure that all visuals support gameplay needs
Interpret development disciplines' requirements and transform them into high-quality artwork
Deliver effective feedback to various art disciplines such as modeling and animation
Identify and develop new ideas and shepherd them through the production pipeline
Promote inclusivity, empowerment, and growth through leadership and mentorship
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:
Strong understanding of art fundamentals, multiple art styles, anatomy, and appeal
Experience managing artists across multiple disciplines
Ability to adapt and innovate new styles and techniques
Strong collaborative skills to partner with the Creative Director and other discipline leads
Deep knowledge of art disciplines and their workflows
Strong leadership skills to lead a large team towards a singular vision
Experience providing feedback for outsourcing and contractors
Experience working on current-gen console or PC games (AAA title experience preferred)
