Job Description
Monitor performance of DCS, PHD/PI Historians and Environmental/COCL systems. Identify, troubleshoot and correct all impending view/control issues for Safety, Environmental, Economic, and Mechanical Integrity performance.
Work directly with Central Control Operators, Unit Supervisors, Unit Process Engineers, and Environmental Engineers to improve unit control/performance within environmental and mechanical integrity boundaries.
Support expense and capital projects to ensure new designs do not jeopardize the integrity of PAR's control systems.
Provide chronological alarm, event, and process data and participate in control related incident investigations.
Monitor performance of regulatory control loops; including tuning loops and implement alternate control strategies as needed.
Ensure all DCS assets are protected from internal and external cyber-security threats, and are kept current and at vendor supported release level. Identify and implement technology LifeCycle updates as required.
Ensure all DCS assets are backed up to allow a quick recovery and continuity of business in the event of a disaster.
Direct activities of contract Honeywell Site Support Specialist.
Provide system level support for Advanced Process Control (APC) applications - DMC /ANAMEL.
Provide technical expertise and support to other Total sites.
Provide guidance to engineering contractors for all DCS related project activities, including assigning instrument and DCS tagnames and system I/O addressing, developing DCS point/graphic configurations and integrating said controls into system.
Train operators on new control schemes and support loop-check activities during check-out and start-up of new processes.

Provide 24-7 support to: 44 Central Control Operators, 8 Unit Supervisors, 4 Area Superintendents, 4 Process Coordinators, 8 Process Support Engineers, 3 APC Engineers, 16 Instrument Techs, 8 Analyzer Techs
Candidate profile
BS Degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Process Control Engineering, or other related field of study.
0- 3 years experience in industrial process control, DCS systems, SIS systems, Field Instrumentation, MicroSoft Operating Systems, Dell server grade PC's and Workstations, Cisco Ethernet switching networks. (under 1 year requires 2 internships)
Extensive knowledge and experience in the design, installation, startup and ongoing support of Honeywell Experion PKS, TDC-3000, and TDC-2000 DCS systems and Honeywell PHD/ OSI PI data historians..
Good oral and written communication skills. Be able to communicate technical responses at both the management and operator level.
Possess strong analytical skills to be able to think through a problem, evaluate all of the facts, and reach a satisfactory solution.
Well organized with the ability to multi-task, work alone or in a team environment.
Excellent customer support and personal relation skills.
Self-motivated and goal oriented.
