As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying and supporting high-technology manufacturing processes with primary focus on SMT assembly and thick-film hybrid microcircuits. Responsibilities:
- Work under senior engineering supervision to deploy and support high-technology manufacturing processes with primary focus on SMT assembly and thick-film hybrid microcircuits.
- Apply and refine suitable methods, materials, and equipment intended to support and improve efficiency, reduce cost, improve product reliability, and expand capabilities.
- Follow through with design and deployment of accepted proposals.
- Survey and keep current with the state of applicable technology for processes, materials, equipment, vendor capabilities, and other items of relevance.
- Participate in failure analyses for process and product as needed, and present findings to internal and external customers.
- Interface with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and material suppliers to determine correct approach to design, modify or enhance manufacturability of products.
- Be accountable for yields of highly complex processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- 3 years of experience in manufacturing industry.
- Experience with SMT assembly and thick-film hybrid microcircuits.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of applicable technology for processes, materials, equipment, vendor capabilities, and other items of relevance.
