Job Details
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Thermal & Combustion Technologist. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing technical, business, customer, and financial support to our organization. Your expertise in thermal and combustion processes will contribute to improving quality, driving process efficiencies, and implementing new technologies. This position reports to the Thermal and Finishing Process Manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
Identify improvement opportunities and facilitate technology transfer through the development and deployment of standard practices for different thermal and combustion safety processes.
Maintain a working relationship with vendors of thermal and combustion equipment and stay knowledgeable about external developments.
Provide engineering and operational support for large capital improvement projects.
Sponsor, participate in, and occasionally lead development projects.
Act as a trusted advisor to plant resources, providing advice and direction on capital and process solutions.
Participate in technical assessments of facilities and individual pieces of equipment.
Deliver equipment, control, and process training to the technical base.
Serve as the corporate expert on Combustion Safety
Develop and deploy best practices for thermal processes, optimizing process equipment for improving quality and capacity.
Solve equipment and process problems related to Thermal Processes.
Drive resolution of chronic problems within your area of expertise, leading problem-solving teams and organizing support from other resources when necessary.
Key Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 3 years in Thermal and Combustion Safety.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Willingness and ability to travel extensively (approximately 50%), including international travel.
Strong self-starter with the ability to prioritize tasks based on business needs.
Excellent leadership skills.
PLC troubleshooting - Rockwell preferred
