We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Accountant to join our team in the construction industry. As a Project Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial success of our construction projects through accurate accounting and financial reporting. You will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Manage project financials from start to finish, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Prepare and submit AIA billing and other construction-related invoices
- Review and analyze project costs, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Conduct month-end accruals and reconciliations
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure project financial success
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to management as needed
- Manage project-related accounts payable and receivable
- Assist with year-end financial reporting and audits
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2 years of experience in construction accounting or related field
- Strong understanding of AIA billing and other construction-related invoicing
- Experience with month-end accruals and reconciliations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
