Job Details
Our fast-growing company is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Accountant to join our team. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about finance and accounting, and who is eager to take on new challenges in a dynamic and exciting industry. As a Project Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all financial aspects of assigned construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
- Review and approve vendor invoices, ensuring that they are accurate and properly coded
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations, ensuring that all accounts are up-to-date and accurate
- Work closely with project managers and other team members to ensure that financial information is communicated effectively and that projects are completed on time and within budget
- Provide regular financial reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring that they are aligned with company goals and objectives
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members at all levels of the organization
- Proficiency in Sage 100 Contractor or equivalent accounting software
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to find solutions
- Experience with project accounting and cost control
- Knowledge of GAAP and other relevant financial regulations and standards
