We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Accountant to join our team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial health and profitability of our construction projects. This includes everything from budgeting and forecasting to risk assessment and contract negotiation. The Project Accountant will be involved in all stages of the project life cycle and will play a critical role in ensuring the financial success of each project.

Responsibilities:
As a Project Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing financial planning and forecasting for construction projects.
2. Managing project budgets and ensuring cost controls are in place.
3. Conducting regular financial reviews and providing timely and accurate reporting on project status.
4. Performing bank reconciliations, end of month (EOM) and end of year (EOY) close procedures.
5. Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely billing.
6. Reviewing contracts and change orders for financial implications.
7. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
8. Utilizing ERP systems to manage and analyze financial data.
9. Identifying financial risks and working with project teams to mitigate them.
10. Assisting in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in the construction industry.
3. Proficiency in ERP systems and familiarity with other accounting software.
4. Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations, EOM and EOY close procedures.
5. Demonstrated experience in project accounting.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
8. A thorough understanding of financial regulations and standards in the construction industry.
9. High attention to detail and accuracy.
10. The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
