Responsibilities:
As a Propulsion Engineer, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Performing detailed analysis and development of propulsion systems, including the design, testing, and implementation of these systems.
- Utilizing mathematical modeling to predict and optimize system performance under various conditions.
- Collaborating closely with other engineering teams to ensure the integration of the propulsion systems with other spacecraft subsystems.
- Conducting and overseeing the execution of test plans to validate the performance of the propulsion systems.
- Identifying and mitigating risks associated with the propulsion system.
- Continuously staying updated with the latest advancements in the field and implementing innovative solutions to improve system performance and reliability.
- Providing technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in propulsion engineering or a related field.
- A bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree or higher is preferred.
- Proven experience in the analysis and development of propulsion systems.
- Strong knowledge of space and lunar environments and their impact on propulsion systems.
- Proficiency in mathematical modeling and its application in the design and optimization of dynamic systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate complex ideas clearly.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with industry-standard software and tools.
- A passion for space exploration and a drive to push the boundaries of what is possible.
