We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of products and processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position plays a critical role in maintaining our reputation for delivering high-quality products. The Quality Engineer will be involved in all stages of the manufacturing process, from design to delivery, and will work closely with various departments to ensure that quality standards are met.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality control methodologies to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, guidelines, and procedures in automotive injection molding production.
- Conduct audits and reviews to ensure that products and processes meet the IATF 16949 international quality standard.
- Utilize various tools such as calipers, micrometers, and blueprints to measure parts and products for quality and adherence to specifications.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems utilizing 8D problem-solving techniques.
- Develop and execute PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) to ensure product quality.
- Perform statistical analysis (SPC) and calculate process capability.
- Participate in the development of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Maintain and improve Quality of Service (QoS) by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
- Utilize customer portal platforms to communicate with customers about product quality and resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with QS 9000 quality management system requirements.
- Perform Gage R&R studies to evaluate measurement systems.
- Prepare and submit FCAs (Failure Cost Analysis) as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Quality Engineer role within the automotive industry.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with automotive injection molding.
- Demonstrated experience with IATF 16949, QS 9000, PPAP, APQP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, QoS, and 8D problem-solving methodologies.
- Proficiency in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and blueprints.
- Experience with Gage R&R studies and TS 16949.
- Familiarity with FCAs and customer portal platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
