This is a contract position requiring a minimum of 1 years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular quality control tests and inspections on all incoming materials and finished products to ensure they meet the company's quality standards.
- Perform moisture testing, pH and sodium analysis to ensure the safety and quality of our plant-based food products.
- Implement and maintain HACCP and PCQI principles to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
- Document and report any quality-related issues to the Quality Manager and work closely with the production team to develop corrective actions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and protocols.
- Participate in internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
- Provide training to production staff on quality control procedures and standards.
- Ensure all equipment used for testing is properly calibrated and maintained.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in a quality control role within the food manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience with plant-based food products is highly desirable.
- Proficient in moisture testing, pH, and sodium analysis.
- Solid understanding of HACCP and PCQI principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot quality-related issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or a related field is preferred.
