Education Requirements
- Satisfactory completion of a program in Radiological Technology.
Licenses and Certifications
- AART certification and maintenance or ARRT within six months of employment.
- CRT licensure and maintenance.
- Fluoroscopy licensure (must achieve within 6 months of employment).
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to work flexible schedules and varying locations as assigned.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skill with the ability to communicate across all levels of the hospital and departments.
- Problem solver and critical thinker with the ability to anticipate possible issues.
- Knowledge of hospital safety, quality and joint commission standards.

- Position and perform age-appropriate diagnostic quality imaging as trained.
- Processes images as assigned.
- Assist to trouble-shoot minor equipment problems, identify issues, and escalate to supervisor and/or initiate service calls as appropriate.
- Operate fixed fluoroscopy systems and transmits fluoroscopy spot images as needed and required.
- Operate mobile C-arm fluoroscopy systems, mobile radiographic systems, and fixed radiographic systems.
- Ensure orders are completed in a timely manner.
- Use Quantros Reporting system appropriately.
- Appropriately update patient orders and add patient information at end of exam to explain deviations from protocol.
- Comply with regulatory requirements and initiatives as it pertains to the position and department.
- Attend staff and departmental meetings and participate in hospital wide work groups as assigned.
- Participate in the inventory and replacement of supplies by ordering or notifying a supervisor.
- Employee must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Standards of the Hospital.
