Job Details
This is a Field position where your home is your base and you will travel to customer sites across VA
Responsibilities include conducting job-site surveys; calculating refrigeration requirements for process cooling and building loads; assisting in the development of project documentation including: drawings, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's), equipment schedules, details, specifications, scope of work, etc.; selecting and applying system equipment to new and existing systems; and coordinating technical specifications, delivery requirements, and quotation parameters with outside equipment suppliers, subcontractors and clients. Some travel will be required.
The successful candidate must have all of the following: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following: project management; ammonia refrigeration design; chilled water/hydronic design; equipment selection; developing piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs);
Microsoft Office software; mentoring less experienced staff. If you have strong communication and organizational skills, are self-motivated, and can work well both independently and as part of a team
