Qualifications
Must be licensed to practice as an RN in the state of NY
One year of nursing experience preferred, but New Grads will also be considered.
Must have a valid NY Drivers License.
Be flexible, patient, energetic, creative, and have a sense of humor
Have a strong passion for working with and helping children and adults with special needs.
Our New York Program provides therapeutic care to children, adolescents and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and dual diagnoses. Location in Red Hook, NY, this position is responsible for maintaining standards of developmental disabilities nursing practice. As a Registered Nurse, you will maintain current healthcare information for program participants, ensure that medications are administered as prescribed, and ensure that Approved Medication Administration Personnel are supervised and their certification is maintained as required by regulations and agency policy. Our Registered Nurses will also provide on-call nursing in a scheduled rotation with other nurses to ensure 24-hour consultation on medical matters.
