We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Roofing Project Manager to join our dynamic and growing team in the construction industry. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing commercial and residential roofing projects from start to finish. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers excellent benefits and opportunities for career growth.
Responsibilities:
1. Project Management: Lead and manage all aspects of roofing projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
2. Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the work of roofing crews, subcontractors, and other project team members. Provide guidance, support, and training to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.
3. Client Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders. Maintain regular communication to provide project updates, address concerns, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
4. Estimating and Bidding: Prepare accurate and competitive project estimates and bids. Collaborate with the sales team to review project specifications, identify potential risks, and develop cost-effective solutions.
5. Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that roofing installations meet or exceed industry standards. Conduct regular inspections and collaborate with the quality assurance team to address any issues or deficiencies.
6. Contract Management: Review and negotiate contracts, change orders, and other project-related documents. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, local building codes, and safety regulations.
7. Financial Management: Monitor project budgets, expenses, and profitability. Prepare and submit accurate and timely progress reports, invoices, and payment applications. Collaborate with the accounting department to resolve any financial discrepancies or issues.
8. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Proactively address safety concerns and ensure that all workers adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
Qualifications:
1. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial roofing construction and project management. Familiarity with residential roofing construction is a plus.
2. Knowledge: Strong understanding of commercial roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques. Proficient in reading and interpreting project plans, specifications, and blueprints.
3. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve project goals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
4. Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
5. Problem-Solving Abilities: Proven track record of identifying and resolving project-related issues and challenges. Ability to think critically, analyze complex situations, and make sound decisions.
6. Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools. Familiarity with estimating software and construction industry standards.
7. Certifications: Valid driver's license and certifications in project management or commercial roofing systems are preferred.
