Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary financial advisor for the manufacturing leadership, overseeing all accounting and financial matters.
• Mastery in understanding cost structures, gathering data, and setting standard cost benchmarks.
• Lead the aggregation of financial data, inventory assessments, and cost information, which involves scrutinizing and formulating cost rates and departmental budgets. This role also extends to aiding in pricing strategies and sales analytics.
• Champion initiatives to enhance cost efficiency and productivity across various aspects of manufacturing, including product development, raw materials, and operational methodologies.
• Conduct detailed analyses and generate reports to evaluate factors influencing product/service pricing and profitability. This includes creating variance reports to identify and address operational inefficiencies.
• Regularly review and adjust standard cost and absorption variances, prepare monthly sales cost data, and reconcile material inventories.
• Monitor manufacturing operations, develop key performance metrics, and report on operational finances to inform strategic business decisions.
• Collaborate with different departments to manage and minimize inventory levels, including conducting reviews of underperforming inventory and implementing strategies to prevent future excesses.
• Lead the financial reporting processes, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial statements, budget reports, and forecasts.
• Manage the recruitment, training, and performance of the cost accounting team, fostering a culture of engagement and excellence.
• Oversee the financial aspects of plant capital equipment, including capital expenditure analysis and budgeting.
• Develop and refine accounting procedures and controls, ensuring their effective implementation.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is essential.
• 7-10 years of experience in an Accounting/Finance role within the manufacturing sector is preferred.
• CMA certification is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to independently lead financial operations and positively impact profit and loss within a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Familiarity with ERP Systems, particularly MS D365, is highly desirable.
• Exceptional technical accounting skills, with a focus on cost and inventory accounting.
• Proven management capabilities in a multi-site context.
• Strong analytical and project management skills, capable of leading process improvement initiatives and working autonomously.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels.
• Outstanding time management abilities, capable of handling multiple tasks concurrently.
• A self-driven, results-oriented, and meticulous approach is essential.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, with a focus on building and nurturing team dynamics.
