Job Details

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Cost Accountant in a manufacturing environment, with a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and cost drivers.
• Proficiency in cost accounting principles, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation methods.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Cost Analysis Analyze manufacturing costs including raw materials, labor, overhead, and other expenses to ensure accuracy and efficiency in cost allocation.
• Cost Control Implement and maintain cost control measures to minimize waste, reduce expenses, and maximize profitability.
  
  

Inventory Management Monitor and reconcile inventory levels, conducting regular audits to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.

• Product Costing Calculate and update standard costs for manufactured products, considering factors such as material costs, labor expenses, and overhead allocation.
• Variance Analysis Investigate and analyze variances between standard costs and actual costs, identifying the root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Budgeting and Forecasting Assist in the preparation of manufacturing budgets and forecasts, providing insights into cost trends and potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Financial Reporting Prepare timely and accurate financial reports related to manufacturing costs, presenting findings to management and stakeholders as needed.
• Process Improvement Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, enhancing efficiency and reducing costs throughout the manufacturing operations.
• Compliance Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls related to manufacturing cost accounting.
• Ad Hoc Analysis Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and projects as assigned, supporting management in decision-making and strategic planning.
