We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Logistics Coordinator to join our prestigious industry team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of shipping routes and delivery, specifically with regard to trucking and scheduling. This role requires a high level of interaction with suppliers, vendors, and team members within the organization. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving operational efficiency, ensuring customer satisfaction, and supporting the logistics department in achieving its objectives.
Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations.
2. Ensure premises, assets and communications are used effectively.
3. Utilize logistics IT to optimize shipping and transport procedures.
4. Recruit and coordinate logistics staff (e.g. truck drivers) according to availabilities and requirements.
5. Supervise orders and arrange stocking of raw materials and equipment to ensure they meet needs.
6. Communicate with suppliers, retailers, customers, etc. to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction.
7. Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements.
8. Keep logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders, etc.
9. Prepare accurate reports for upper management.
10. Develop and implement logistics policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective supply chain processes.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a Senior Logistics Coordinator with at least 2 years in a similar role, preferably within the Energy industry.
2. Proficiency in logistics software or transport management systems.
3. Strong knowledge of legal regulations and ISO requirements.
4. Exceptional organizational and coordination abilities.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Experience in customer service.
7. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
8. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and make quick decisions.
9. BSc/BA in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or relevant field.
10. Certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
