Job Details

We are looking to add a Sr. Cost Accountant to our growing team to who will be responsible for cost accounting, cost analysis, inventory management, financial reporting, budgeting & forecasting, process improvement, and more!

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures to accurately capture and analyze manufacturing costs.
• Monitor and analyze production costs, labor expenses, and material usage to ensure cost efficiency and profitability.
• Oversee inventory valuation and management, ensuring accurate reporting of inventory levels, variances, and obsolescence. Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations to maintain data integrity.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports, variance analyses, and other financial statements. Present findings and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and manage budgets and forecasts related to manufacturing and e-commerce operations.
• Monitor actual performance against budgeted targets and provide actionable insights to improve financial performance.
• Establish and maintain standard costs for products, regularly reviewing and updating them to reflect changes in production processes, materials, and market conditions.
• Analyze and report on variances between standard and actual costs.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and process optimization within the manufacturing and e-commerce operations.
• Lead and support initiatives to implement best practices and enhance overall operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and accounting standards. Develop and enforce robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain financial integrity.
• Manage and mentor a team of cost accountants, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, inventory management, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills; experience with [specific ERP system] is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
