Job DetailsResponsibilities:
As a Permanent Structural Engineer, your duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Conducting detailed structural analysis and inspections of various structures to ensure they meet all necessary codes, standards, and regulations.
2. Utilizing software such as Revit, RAM, and ETABS to design and analyze structural components.
3. Working closely with architects and other professionals to design structures that are safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing.
4. Providing expert advice on the use of concrete and other construction materials, as well as the best construction methods to ensure structural integrity.
5. Developing detailed engineering plans, designs, and layouts.
6. Managing construction projects, including coordinating with contractors, overseeing work progress, and ensuring quality control.
7. Troubleshooting any structural issues that may arise during the construction process and proposing effective solutions.
8. Continually updating knowledge and skills in line with developments in structural engineering technology and practices.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, the following qualifications are required:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. A Master's degree would be advantageous.
2. A professional engineer (PE) license is mandatory.
3. A minimum of five years of experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on structural engineering.
4. Proficiency in using engineering software such as Revit, RAM, and ETABS.
5. Extensive experience in conducting structural inspections and analyses.
6. A solid understanding of engineering design principles and construction management.
7. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee construction projects from conception to completion.
8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex engineering concepts to a variety of audiences.
9. A keen eye for detail, with the ability to identify potential structural issues and propose effective solutions.
