We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have a critical role in our surgical team, providing patient care in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. This position offers the opportunity for growth and development within our organization, as well as the chance to make a significant impact on patient outcomes. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Responsibilities:
As a Certified Surgical Technologist, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting in the preparation and care for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
2. Setting up the operating room for surgeries, including sterilizing equipment, preparing surgical instruments, and ensuring necessary supplies are available.
3. Working collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure surgeries proceed smoothly.
4. Maintaining a sterile environment in the operating room at all times.
5. Anticipating the needs of the surgical team and providing necessary instruments and supplies during the procedure.
6. Assisting in patient positioning, skin preparation, and draping.
7. Assisting in the post-operative care of the patient, including transferring the patient, cleaning and restocking the operating room, and preparing for the next patient.
8. Complying with all safety and infection control guidelines.
9. Participating in professional development activities and staying up-to-date with the latest surgical technology techniques and innovations.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Certified Surgical Technologist position will have the following qualifications:
1. Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from an accredited program.
2. Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist or Surgical Scrub Tech.
3. Excellent knowledge of surgical procedures, patient safety, and sterile technique.
4. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
5. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
6. Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
7. Strong physical stamina and manual dexterity.
8. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
9. Must be able to handle the physical and emotional demands of the job, including dealing with emergencies and stressful situations.
