We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Permanent Tax Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This position is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a keen interest in tax accounting and financial planning to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment. As a Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and facilitating the accurate preparation and filing of our company’s state and federal tax forms.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all tax related activities including preparation, review, and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Research and interpret tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Identify tax savings opportunities and recommend strategies to improve efficiency.
- Prepare quarterly and annual tax reports.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits and reviews.
- Assist in financial planning and analysis to support business growth.
- Keep abreast of current developments in tax laws and regulations and advise management on the impact of new laws on tax liabilities.
- Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
- Maintain complete and accurate records of all tax documents.
- Assist in the development and implementation of tax accounting policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) license is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax accounting or a related role.
- In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels.
- Proficiency in tax software and databases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of financial planning principles and strategies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
