The Tax Manager plays a crucial role in our client service delivery. This role requires the ability to lead, manage, and support a team of tax professionals across multiple engagements. As the Tax Manager, you will work with a variety of clients to provide comprehensive tax services.
The ideal Tax Manager or Tax Director has 7 years of experience in public accounting, as well as a strong interest in a path to Partner. This company works with a diverse set of clients and you will gain strong partnerships with the teams, as well as clients. Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Effectively managing a team of tax professionals, including assigning and reviewing work, providing mentorship and guidance, and coordinating the delivery of work product in a timely and efficient manner
- Preparing and reviewing complex tax returns for various clients, including individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
- Researching and interpreting tax laws and regulations to provide accurate advice and information to clients
- Assisting with tax planning, including analyzing tax data, recommending tax strategies, and advising clients on the tax implications of business decisions
- Communicating with clients on tax-related matters, including discussing tax issues and delivering reports and findings
- Staying up-to-date on changes to tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance
- Collaborating with other service lines to provide integrated client service offerings
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting, Tax, or related field
- CPA certification
- At least 7 years’ experience in public accounting, with strong experience in tax
- Prior experience in managing a team of tax professionals
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex tax issues to clients in plain language
