Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Compliance and Strategic Planning: Oversee all aspects of tax compliance for our non-profit clients, with a specific focus on Form 990. Ensure accurate and timely submission of federal and state income tax returns. Leverage deep understanding of non-profit tax legislation to provide proactive tax planning advice.
- Client Relationship Stewardship: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients through regular communication and excellent service. Deliver tailored solutions that cater to the unique needs of non-profit organizations.
- Business Expansion: Drive new client acquisition within the non-profit sector. Utilize and expand your network to increase the reach of our unparalleled tax services.
- Leadership and Team Development: Guide and mentor junior team members. Ensure the tax team's work aligns with our high standards and meets client-specific requirements.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborate with audit and advisory teams to offer our clients a comprehensive suite of services.
- Continuous Learning and Adaptation: Stay up-to-date with changes in non-profit tax legislation and sector-specific trends. Engage in ongoing professional development to consistently enhance your skillset and expertise.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Advanced degree in Taxation is a plus.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
- Minimum of 6-8 years' tax experience within a public accounting firm, with a focus on the Non-Profit sector.
- Demonstrable success in managing a diverse client portfolio and leading teams.
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state non-profit tax laws and regulations, particularly Form 990.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client service skills.
- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and excel in a fast-paced environment.
