We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Utility Engineer to join our dynamic team in the environmental industry. As a Utility Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the stormwater, environmental, chemical, and wastewater systems of our clients organization. You will be required to have a minimum of 0-5 years of experience (entry level potential) in this field and possess a strong understanding of the engineering principles.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure the efficient and effective management of stormwater, environmental, chemical, and wastewater systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of the utility systems to ensure their optimal functioning.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members in the organization regarding the utility systems.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and codes related to the utility systems.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with utility vendors and service providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
- Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement of the utility systems to enhance their performance and reduce costs.
- Develop and manage budgets for the utility systems, ensuring that they are aligned with the overall financial objectives of the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 0-5 years of experience in engineering.
- Strong understanding of the principles of stormwater, environmental, chemical, and wastewater systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and codes related to the utility systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
