The Warehouse Chief manages warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory control and storage. This role involves coordinating with production and procurement teams to maintain a smooth flow of materials and products.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping materials and products.
- Implement and maintain inventory control systems to ensure accurate inventory levels.
- Coordinate with production and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
- Implement and maintain delivery, in-process, and shipment recording procedures.
- Managing internal barcoding/storage system for FIFO control.
- Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures.
- Manage warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Manage warehouse equipment-device requirements and organize periodic maintenance activities.
- Conduct monthly inventory controls in coordination with audit staff.
- At least an Associate degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred).
- 5 years of experience in warehouse management.
- 3 years of SAP experience.
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) experience is needed for Inventory Control, Warehouse Safety, Shipping and Receiving, and Staff Management.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with inventory management software and tools.
- Leadership abilities and experience managing a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Forklift driver license will be a plus.
