We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Water Resources Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design and implementation of water resource projects that have a significant impact on the environment and communities. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, design, and management of water resources projects, including stormwater management, hydraulic modeling, green infrastructure, and water quality studies. The position offers a unique blend of technical challenge, client interaction, and project management responsibilities, and requires a passion for innovation and sustainability in the field of water resources engineering.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement innovative solutions for complex water resource challenges, including stormwater management, flood control, and water supply.
2. Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using various software packages such as LSPC, SWMM, HSPF, Sustain, CE-Qual-W2, and SWAT.
3. Perform GIS analysis and data analysis to support water resource projects.
4. Design and oversee the construction of green infrastructure projects, including BMPs.
5. Conduct water quality studies and sediment transport analyses.
6. Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations to communicate project results to clients and stakeholders.
7. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including scientists, engineers, and planners.
8. Stay updated with the latest technologies and regulations in the field of water resources engineering.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in water resources engineering.
3. Expertise in hydrology, stormwater management, water resources modeling, and green infrastructure.
4. Proficiency in hydraulic and water modeling for LSPC, SWMM, HSPF, Sustain, CE-Qual-W2, and/or SWAT.
5. Strong skills in GIS analysis and data analysis.
6. Experience in sediment transport and water quality studies.
7. Familiarity with BMPs and water resource regulations.
8. Proficiency in Python and .NET Core for data analysis and modeling.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
10. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
11. Passion for sustainable water resource management and a commitment to professional growth in this field.
