We are looking for a Senior System Administrator to join our team immediately.
Senior Sys Admin
Location: Irvine, CA or Ontario, CA- hybrid 1-2 days onsite!
Contract length- 6 month to direct hire!

Job Details

Responsible for effective administration, configuration, installation, provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting to ensure availability, capacity and performance of infrastructure systems is achieved. Self-starter with minimal instruction from managers other leads, except where applicable.
  • Install and configure systems to support infrastructure and applications.
  • Maintain configuration standards and operating procedures.
  • Configure, cleanup, manage daily system monitoring system (SolarWinds / AppDynamics), verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.
  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
  • Gather and analyze system log files.
  • Provide first tier support at administrator level to including investigation and troubleshooting.
  • Perform regular systems hardening to maintain security standards.
  • Support and document disaster recovery and business continuity solutions, failover, and testing efforts.
  • Document / Discovery of legacy applications, familiarity with Confluence / Lucid is a must.
  • Familiarity with Azure AD, Enterprise Applications, SAML transformations / claims.

Qualifications
  • Required Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience
  • 5-7 years of system administration experience required
  • Microsoft certification preferred
  • VMware Certified Professional preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Intermediate knowledge with five to six years of experience with one of more of the following Applications:
  • Microsoft Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365 Services, Group Policy, Storage
  • Solarwinds, AppDynamics, or other monitoring tools
  • Intermediate knowledge with five to six years of experience with one of more of the following Operating Systems:
  • Windows Server
  • VMware vCenter and vSphere
  • Intermediate knowledge of operating system scripting and utilities.
  • Intermediate knowledge of log monitoring tools.
  • Intermediate knowledge of TCP/IP and OSI Model.
  • Intermediate knowledge of firewalls, routers, and switches.
  • Intermediate knowledge of audit and security best practices.


Nice to Haves
  • Experience with Azure Functions, IIS, App Services, and other native Azure services.
  • Experience with IaC, such as Terraform
  • Experience with Ansible or other config management such as Puppet / Chef
