Avera is currently seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) looking to deliver the best possible care in Avera’s patient-focused settings.

Job Summary

The Physical therapist (PT) will effectively evaluate patients and develop treatment plans appropriate for functional limitations of individual patients.  The PT will help people who have physical and/ or disabling conditions restore function, alleviate pain and prevent disabilities by planning and administrating physical therapy. This position will work with patients in a variety of settings including:  Outpatient, inpatient, LTC, home health care and pediatrics.  This position will provider coverage at multiple locations for events such as contracted services, extended leaves of absence as well as start-up coverage for new services.

Education and/or Experience

• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program of the American Physical Therapy Association preferred.
• One year experience preferred in multiple practice settings.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Licensed in the state of South Dakota as a Physical Therapist required.
• Licensed in the state of Minnesota and/or Iowa as a Physical Therapist is required depending on job assignment. If additional state licensure is required, employee must obtain within 120 days of request.
• Completion of the Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse courses for Iowa Mandatory Reporters within 90 days of employment and every 3 years thereafter depending upon job assignment.

Work Schedule

• Monday through Friday; 80 hours per 2 weeks

Pay

• $35.00 - $53.00 per hour
