As part of our Controller's department, you will work with a diverse team to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis. Your role will involve collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, to optimize reporting and comply with accounting principles. The Impact
As a Financial Reporting Manager, you will play a crucial role in meeting regulatory reporting requirements and supporting management with insightful analysis. Your responsibilities will include:
- Producing audited statement reports for key stakeholders
- Maintaining and documenting key controls and regulatory filings
- Supervising a team to prepare financial reports
- Working in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
- Optimizing reports and preparing analysis for key stakeholders
- Staying updated on accounting policies and industry trends
- Leading and participating in cross-functional projects
- Driving continuous improvement in reporting processes
The Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 6 years of experience in audited and/or regulatory statements
- 3 years of experience in GAAP reporting in the life insurance industry
- 3 years of financial analysis and reporting experience
- 3 years of experience with general ledger reporting systems
The Ideal Qualifications
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA certification
- Knowledge of advanced insurance and investment statutory accounting principles
- Experience with reporting tools and analytics
- Strong data validation and testing skills
- Other competencies include customer focus, innovation, strategic thinking, relationship building, and influencing
- Expert knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
