As an Android Software Engineer, you will play a key role in driving a major transformation within Capital One.

Responsibilities:

- Develop Android applications that align with our product strategy and adhere to engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality and engaging customer experiences.
- Actively participate in team agile ceremonies to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of commitments.
- Advocate for the mobile platform within internal and external developer communities.
- Continuously learn and stay up-to-date with mobile development technologies.
- Mentor and support junior team members.
- Engage with developers from diverse disciplines (Android, iOS, APIs, Web, etc.).
- Lead the delivery of major components and platform enhancements.
- Share best practices and improve processes across teams.
- Identify technical obstacles and work with the team to find creative solutions.
- Review code and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Provide leadership and guidance to other mobile developers.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Minimum of 6 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in building Android applications.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with Kotlin.
- Minimum of 2 years of people management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master’s Degree.
- 5 years of experience in building Android applications.
- 5 years of people management experience.
- 4 years of experience with Kotlin.
- 4 years of experience in open source frameworks.
- 2 years of experience with Agile practices.
- 1 years of experience with AWS.

Salary Information:

- New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $197,400 - $225,300 for Manager, Software Engineering.
- Salary for other locations will be based on the pay range associated with that location, which will be reflected in your offer letter.

Performance-based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and long-term incentives, may be available for this role.
