Essential Duties:
Provide direct and indirect patient care services with a focus on safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection
Offer experienced care and educate patients on disease prevention and restorative measures
Administer medications, perform skin tests, immunizations, phlebotomy, and initiate peripheral venous access
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and implement individualized patient care
Deliver care to special patient populations, considering their specific needs and cultural backgrounds
Ensure patient safety, identify and address safety concerns, and provide a safe environment
Participate in leadership activities or committees that support improvements in patient care
Delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed healthcare workers within their scope of responsibilities
Educational Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Licenses:
- Current, unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) License required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of Acute Care Nursing experience required
- 2 years of Imaging Nursing experience preferred
- Ability to read EKG's, start IVs, and monitor sedated patients of all ages
- Comfortable educating patients about pending procedures/treatments
- Experience responding to codes highly preferred
- Prior experience with implantable cardiac devices, including the ability to perform interrogation and reprogramming of devices for patients undergoing MRI scans
- Internal applicants must have held the position of Clinical Nurse II for at least 1 year to be considered
