Senior Lead Software Engineer - Back End

What You’ll Do:
- Lead a team of developers in creating solutions that meet regulatory needs using microservices and full stack systems
- Stay up-to-date with technology trends and experiment with new technologies
- Collaborate with product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans financially
- Use programming languages like Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala, as well as tools like Docker and Kubernetes

Team Info:
The Low Latency Data Store program consists of 5 teams that develop and maintain all features of the LLDS system. We use excellent architecture and Agile methods to ensure customer success in a fast-paced environment.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 8 years of professional software engineering experience
- At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree
- Experience with developing strategies and implementing target architectures
- 9 years of experience in Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js
- 8 years of experience in data governance, access, lineage, monitoring, and security controls
- 3 years of experience in database technology evaluation and data modeling
- 3 years of experience with AWS
- 2 years of experience in Agile practices

Capital One offers competitive salaries based on location. This role in New York City pays between $230,100 and $262,700 annually for a Sr. Lead Software Engineer.
