Job Title: Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Golang)

As a Capital One Software Engineer, you will play a key role in driving a major transformation within Capital One.

What You'll Do:
- Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions using full-stack development tools and technologies.
- Stay up-to-date with tech trends, experiment with new technologies, participate in technology communities, and mentor other engineers.
- Work with digital product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions that provide powerful experiences for millions of Americans to achieve financial empowerment.
- Utilize programming languages like Java, Python, SQL, Node, Go, and Scala, as well as open source databases and container orchestration services.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply)

Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in one of the following: Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js
- 1 years of experience with cloud services like AWS, GCP, or Azure
- 3 years of experience with open source frameworks
- 2 years of experience with Agile practices
- 2 years of experience with Golang, Jenkins, Docker, or Artifactory
- 2 years of experience with Unix or Shell scripting
- Experience working with AWS in an Agile environment
- Familiarity with AWS services like API Gateway, IAM, Lambda, S3, RayX, and Aurora

Salary Information:

San Francisco, California (Hybrid On-Site): $171,500 - $195,800 for Senior Software Engineer

For other locations, the salary range will vary based on the location. The actual salary offered will be reflected in the candidate's offer letter. Part-time roles will have salaries prorated based on agreed upon hours.

This role is also eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives.
