The University of Iowa is seeking a Parking Services Supervisor. This position will primarily supervise and direct staff in the daily execution of operations within the Parking Services Office.
This position is performed fully on campus.
Duties to Include:
- Conducts financial transactions related to the sales of services through payroll deductions, billing, cash exchanges, refunds, transfers and inventory controls for permits, passes and other cash equivalent items.
- Assists in the hiring/training of new staff members for full-time and student employees.
- Monitor and maintain permit renewal and financial renewal for all permit holders.
- Monitors the distribution, assignment, support and monitoring of parking permits, access cards, bus passes, and related access and transportation services to faculty/staff/students and public customers.
- Manage and improve key Parking and Transportation related data and technical systems including the AIMS system, Self Service functions, McGann card access, license plate files, billing address tracer information, Call-ins, the tow list and related systems.
The Parking and Transportation Department provides and supports access, mobility, and transportation services to faculty, staff, students, patients, and visitors of The University of Iowa.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience (typically 1 year) in an administrative role providing supervision to staff daily.
- Problem solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience providing direct service and support to customers in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Parking Industry and software knowledge.
- Familiarity with Request For Proposal (RFP) processes.
- Manage the creation, testing, and implementing new software systems.
- Experience in higher education environment.
- Knowledge of University policies and procedures.
