Jocott Brands, a rapidly growing beauty products company with a portfolio of brands sold in multiple channels of trade, is looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Buyer who can thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where multi-tasking is essential. Our key accounts include T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, Home Goods and QVC with lines for additional retailers in development.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage existing supplier/manufacture relationships and help identify new suppliers in support of the company’s continued growth.
· Route and track component delivery to ensure materials are available according to timeline commitments.
· Identify cost saving opportunities through alternative product sourcing and services; continually challenge supplier base for innovation and cost optimization.
· Provide complete and accurate status reports as requested by management.
· Responsible for prioritizing all projects while considering the overall needs of the company and ensuring optimum utilization of available resources for timely development and introduction.
· Manage and identify optimal cost saving options for freight services internationally and domestically. Determine best freight option on given project and follow through until delivered.
· Manage all packing lists, ROG and BOLs on specified projects.
· Utilize sales meeting feedback, historical order and shipment data, current POS, inventory data and sell-thru data to develop, continuously update and improve demand plans.
· Work with vendors to resolve chronic issues such as lead time and fill rate.
· Expedite existing orders with vendors to manage low/out of stock inventory levels.
· Resolve supply-related delays, obstacles, conflicts, and product supply issues.
· Participate in weekly and ad hoc production calls with all key vendors.
· Identify production issues and report to management team.
Qualifications
· Minimum of 3 years international sourcing and procurement experience in packaged goods – preferably in beauty or personal care.
· Must be detail oriented and highly organized with strong analytical abilities.
· Ability to effectively present information and communicate with all levels of management and customers.
· Previous experience working with overseas vendors required.
· Proven ability to work successfully in a deadline driven environment with a sense of urgency.
· Demonstrated ability to remain flexible while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
· Exceptional negotiation and oral and written communication skills.
· Strong computer skills, highly proficient in MS office with experience in Excel and Power Point.
· Experience with Sage or other ERP systems.
