Joe McGuire Design is a holistic interior design firm focused on so much more than creating beautiful spaces. We are passionate about healthy materials, sustainability, and helping our clients feel at home and in harmony with nature. We are motivated by wellness, not just for our clients, but for our team and the planet. This depends on a team of kind creative people who love nature, design, and the Colorado way of life.
Joe McGuire Design is a high-end residential interior design firm with clients in Boulder, Denver, Aspen, and other parts of the US. We have been featured in regional and national press. We feel fortunate to call Colorado our home while doing exciting, cutting-edge work for clients with sophisticated tastes from around the country.
At Joe McGuire Design, we view design as a healing art, based upon our core values of positive energy, empathy, aspiration, collaboration, and excellence (P.E.A.C.E.) We are attuned to the energies of spaces, and we are driven to help make the design industry increasingly health-conscious and sustainable.
Joe McGuire Design is hiring a full-time Design Director to complement its current team. We are looking for an experienced Design Director, who will share the aesthetic vision of Joe McGuire Design. The Design Director may initially work remotely from any part of the US but will need to relocate to Aspen, Boulder, or Denver within 3 to 6 months.
The Design Director will lead in the development of overall design concepts, manage, coach, and lead multiple design teams, will foster the Joe McGuire Design aesthetic, and make important aesthetic and functional decisions throughout all stages of the design process.
We are looking for someone with 7 years of high-end residential interior design experience in a leadership role, who thinks like a business owner and has years of experience in a senior role managing a team of designers. The right person would possess professional and empathetic communication skills with our clients and team and has a keen eye for quality control.
Successful candidates will have a compelling portfolio of completed projects. They will be experts at FF&E sourcing and presentation, skilled at reviewing and redlining technical drawings and construction documents, and capable of overseeing complex, full-scope design projects from start to finish.
