Joe McGuire Design is hiring a part-time Operations Manager, with strong experience developing, managing and training HR Systems and Processes.
Primary Responsibilities
- Human Resources Administration:
- Onboard new team members.
- Develop, manage and train staff on HR processes and policy administration.
- Administer benefits such as 401K and health cost reimbursement.
- Maintain HR Information System (HRIS - Bamboo).
- Conduct employment verifications as needed,
- Respond to unemployment requests.
- Create job descriptions for the Operations department, as needed.
- Systems Training: Educate, instruct, and train fellow staff on different software programs and systems.
- Training: train both new and existing team members on JMD processes, policies, and procedures.
- Actively participate in long-term planning and strategy discussions to ensure smooth company operations and growth.
- Create policies, processes and procedures for the operations department.
- Assist other department leaders with creating policies, processes and procedures.
- Lead company-wide communication and serve as main point of contact for government and regulatory agencies. Facilitate communication between departments and provide technical support when necessary.
- Create, assess and analyze the annual budget and ensure that the department is functioning at a level sucient to produce desired results, and that the department is staying at or below budget.
- Create and track project plans for operations departments initiatives.
- Create quality control standards and perform audits to ensure all employees are following them.
- Assist with strategic planning for the company and with the leadership team.
- Identify potential problems or roadblocks to eciency, profitability and revenue.
- Other tasks as assigned, including special projects.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations or related field, required.
- 5 years’ experience in an OCE Manager or Operations Professional role.
- Successful experience with transactional HR support tasks
- Proven experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management.
- SHRM membership a plus.

- Knowledge of financial, project management and human resources practices and policies.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent ability to document policies, processes and procedures.
- Ability to prioritize tasks according to importance and urgency.
- Analytical and deductive reasoning skills.
- Open to learning, and consulting the experts where needed.
- Must be highly adept at problem solving, and implementing solutions, even when there are no clear black and white answers.
- Ability to work well in a structured, accountable environment.Ability to work proactively vs reactively.

- Microsoft Oce Suite fluency.
- BambooHR familiarity

Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a seated environment for up to 8 hours a day.
- Ability to work on a computer for up to 8 hours a day.
- Ability to communicate verbally using a phone and computer for extended periods..
This position would be based in our Boulder office, located within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and slopes. Occasional travel to Aspen would be required.
