Joe McGuire Design is a full-service residential interior design firm with clients in Aspen, Boulder, Denver, and other parts of the US. We feel fortunate to call Colorado our home while doing exciting, cutting-edge projects for clients with sophisticated tastes from around the country. JMD is seeking a strong Project Manager (PM) with 3 years of construction or design experience and a track record of direct project responsibility. The PM will be responsible for establishing and monitoring the project budget and schedule, forecasting manpower needs, keeping the design team on track, and establishing work plans and fee budgets. This position reports to the Design Director.

This position will be based in our Aspen office, located within walking distance from the shops, restaurants, and slopes. Occasional travel to Aspen, Denver, or other parts of the US will be required.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage high-end residential interior design projects from concept to installation.
- Develop, update and monitor project schedules and work plans.
- Develop and monitor fee budgets.
- Manage/coordinate workflow of designers, design assistants, and interns.
- Forecast overall Studio manpower.
- Keep all interested parties apprised of significant details and events. Maintain continual two-way communication with the project team regarding project details.
- Attend regularly scheduled project meetings.
- Visit job site and travel as required.
- Review construction documents. Provide quality control.
- Maintain project documentation.
- Implement our firm’s procurement and construction document standards. Participate in on-going efforts to standardize and streamline company production procedures and paperwork.
- Prepare statements and weekly updates for clients.
- Monitor gross profit margins for every project and work with the project team to help them stay on budget.
Required education and experience:
- 3 years of experience as a project manager
- Bachelor's Degree in Management or an equivalent major
- Must be highly skilled with MS Office Suite (especially Outlook and Excel).
- Experience with redlining and submitting Construction Documents
- Knowledge of materials, applications, and construction
- Excellent project management skills
- Strong time management skills a must
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to work on multiple projects at once
- Ability to make decisions on the fly and know when to say “I don’t know”
- Must be highly organized and care about everything being in the right place
- Ability to work in a close team environment, while interacting and working effectively with architects, contractors, clients, vendors, fabricators in a professional manner
- Able to communicate effectively, positively, and productively with staff and colleagues. Demonstrated competency to manage workflow of designers, design assistants, and interns
- Must have a can-do attitude with strong problem-solving skills
- Must own or have sole access to a reliable car

$70,000 Based on experience
