JOH is seeking a full-time Customer Service Representative in our Billerica, MA location.
As an employee of JOH, this position is responsible for accurate and timely computer entry of customer purchase orders to satisfactorily meet the needs of the customer, client and JOH management while developing positive working relationships.
Responsibilities
- Enter orders via computer system
- Confirm orders
- Trace orders via email or phone (high email volume)
- Communicate issues in a timely and professional manner to all appropriate people
- Be knowledgeable as to the key contact personnel for all assigned clients
- Report shortages and out-of-stocks
- Correct pricing problems
- Process customer returns
- Enter promotions via computer system
- Request invoices as required
- Keep organized files
- Help with coverage when others are absent
- Solve problems
- Maintain constant communication and involvement with all key personnel to ensure the timely completion of the purchase order process
- Other duties as assigned
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES REQUIRED
Language Skills
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to read and write a high volume of emails correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to use calculator to perform simple functions
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

PERFORMANCE AND/OR EDUCATION PREREQUISITES
High school diploma or two to three years of related experience preferably for a food broker, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
