Responsibilities

 

As the Verification Champion, Operator Station within our Intelligent Services Group (ISG) division at our Ankeny, IA location, you will be the on-site point of contact for Operator Station software components, ensuring quality and troubleshooting any on-vehicle issues.

You will collaborate heavily with our Embedded Software Product Verification & Validation (PV&V) and Operator Stations teams, where you will be responsible for performing final quality checks on software payloads before they are handed off to the platform team.

Your projects will also encompass testing new features, identifying and fixing defects, and conducting both model-based and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing on crop care platform buttons, cab, radio, and operator interactions with sprayers. And with a focus on delivering high-quality software in both India and the US, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our crop care solutions.

You will also be involved with:

  • Serving as the on-site point of contact for Operator Station software components for crop care platforms
  • Creating, updating, debugging, and executing HIL software test procedures for Operator Station components and systems
  • Performing software testing procedures and ensuring equal or better quality during the iterative release process for Operator Station components on crop care vehicle platforms

What Skills You Need

 

  • 3 or more years of experience with on-vehicle testing and embedded systems using Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) and/or and Vehicle-in-the-Loop (VIL)
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting hardware and software defects, CAN and LIN protocols, and hardware programming
  • Demonstrated proficiency in electrical and software engineering, with a focus on analyzing, designing, and testing embedded software using C, C , Python, Bash scripting, and model-based approaches
  • Experience performing root cause analysis of software issues within embedded environments
  • Well-versed in electronic circuits and components, such as microcontrollers, FETs, and EEPROM/Flash, with the ability to read schematics, data sheets and Software requirements.
  • Skilled in working with embedded systems tools like simulators, emulators, and compilers
What Makes You Stand Out

 

  • Knowledge of software configuration management and ECU-Test package creation, framework, libraries, and execution
  • Experience with SAE J1939 CAN analysis tools (CANoe, CANape, CANalyzer),
  • Understanding of operator controls in off-road vehicle cabs, continuous integration development, and embedded controller programming on vehicles
  • Effective communication skills with multiple stakeholders.
Education

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent related embedded software/systems experience.
