JFK Memorial Hospital has provided medical care to residents in the Coachella Valley since 1966. A group of physicians, including Dr. Reynaldo Carreon, founded the hospital and today one of JFK�s cross streets is named in his honor. Originally called Indio Community Hospital, JFK has grown to a 145-bed acute-care hospital that is part of Tenet Healthcare California.

Position Overview:
�The Registered Nurse I/RN I assumes principle responsibility for the total nursing care, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all Emergency Department patients.
�Additionally, the Registered Nurse I/ RN I initiates patient teaching and educates the family or significant other to attain optimal health.
�The Registered Nurse I/ RN I uses effective verbal and written skills to communicate with people on all levels and maintains positive working relationships with patients, families, co-workers, and physicians.
�The Registered Nurse I/ RN I continues in a mentor relationship with a designated RN, and works toward independent practice and growth educationally in the Emergency Department.
Position Qualifications:
�California Registered Nurse/RN License
�BLS/CPR
�Basic Computer Skills
�ACLS within three (3) months of hire
�PALS within three (3) months of hire
�MICN (after one year of employment as an RN)
�ED Triage Course (after one year of employment as an RN)
�AB-508 Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within six (6) months of hire

Pay Range: $1.00 - $100.00
Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an employee’s qualifications and experience.
