As a Procurement Specialist, you’ll play a crucial part in ensuring our shops and field employees receive the materials they need on time and within budget. In this role, you will interact with vendors, field, and office employees for the successful sourcing of products and materials while developing and maintaining solid relationships.

What We Ask of You:

  • Develop & maintain key relationships with suppliers to ensure continuous process improvement.
  • Negotiate purchasing agreements focused on availability, price, & delivery.
  • Assist in achieving annual rebate initiatives & cost savings goals.
  • Process requisitions, manage workflow to ensure orders are processed timely & accurately.
  • Confirm internal requirements to communicate with our suppliers, ensuring proper & timely delivery to the shop & field.
  • Purchase goods & services using the organization's ERP systems: Reqnet & Microsoft GP, etc.
  • Promotes an atmosphere that facilitates open & effective communication.
  • Continuous sourcing of new suppliers to get the best price & availability.
  • Develop innovative approaches to review procurement process effectiveness.
  • Applicants with strong working knowledge of HVAC/Plumbing will be highly considered.
  • Solid computer skills (required: MS Office; recommended: Dynamics GP, Google tools).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects planning & purchasing needs at one time.
  • Support the warehouse with receiving and filling shop orders.
  • Assist with warehouse receiving and documentation as necessary.
  • Support the warehouse with toll purchasing and tracking.

Experience & Competencies:

  • Must have the highest degree of integrity, enthusiasm & willingness to represent the company in the most professional & positive manner. Able to build and maintain meaningful relationships.
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills. Able to effectively communicate with our office and field personnel, as well as vendors.
  • Must have strong problem-solving skills. For example, you may need to solve the problem of a product or service that does not meet the quality standards of the company. Or you may need to seek alternative options if specific materials are not available.
