Job Posting for Administrative Specialist-Adult and Community Education at John Wood Community College
This is a full-time, 12-month, non-exempt position that reports to the Dean of Career and Technical Education and is located on the JWCC campus in Quincy, Illinois. Position begins immediately.
JOB DESCRIPTION
This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Manager of Adult Education, Manager of Community Education, and the College for Life Coordinator. This person will provide customer service duties at the Adult and Community Education welcoming desk, enroll students in adult education, college for life, and community education courses including summer non-credit programming, and provide clerical support for department personnel. Additional duties include providing administrative support for the Carl D. Perkins grant that supports Career and Technical Education students and programming.
QUALIFICATIONS
Two years of related work experience required, and related associate degree preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and office technology equipment is required. The applicants must have excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to relate well to a diverse population, and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
