EVS Area Cleaner Position Summary:
Responsible for cleaning and maintaining Medical Center departments/buildings in sanitary condition according to prescribed procedures.
The EVS Area Cleaner will:
- Report to, and work under the direct supervision of, an Environmental Services Supervisor, the Area Cleaner helps to ensure patient safety and customer satisfaction by providing timely and thorough cleaning services to keep Hospital in orderly, sanitary and attractive condition.
- Provide thorough and efficient cleaning services to a wide variety of areas including but not limited to: inpatient areas, clinical exam rooms, operating rooms, pharmacies, MRI rooms, offices, conference rooms, restrooms, utility rooms, and corridors.
- Keep equipment and supplies in a safe and clean condition.
- Clean assigned areas using specified products while following established procedures.
- Use interpersonal skills effectively to communicate to customers, co-workers and supervisors, as appropriate.
- Maintain professional conduct at all times.
- Provide outstanding customer service while interacting with patients and visitors, at all times.
- Ensure sufficient supplies and equipment at the end of shift for EVC closet/carts in assigned area(s); and notifies Supervisor or designee when stock is needed to support the shift.
Work Hours: FT, Night Shift (10:30 pm - 7am), 40 hrs/wk, wknd work required
Work Location: Baltimore, MD
EVS Area Cleaner Qualifications:
- At least 6 months of previous experience, preferred
